i think i owe you all an explanation of my jaywalker sock issue. so the problem was that i am more stupid than i thought. it turns out that i don't follow instructions well and i only did the round 2 portion of the zig zag pattern... so when it says 'begin zig zag pattern' and then has a round one AND a round 2, i only knit round 2. it only came to my attention when i hit the heel, the

i'm making socks for my hubby. the pattern is from the book sensational knitted socks, this book is AWESOME by the way. go buy it if you knit socks, it's so cool! i'm doing the four stitch ribbing pattern in the garter rib stitch pattern. you can't see the pattern that well with the colors of the yarn, but we like the subtle look. i'm using socks that rock yarn in the carbon colorway.

so, as mentioned some time ago, i've joined the MASSES in joining the harlot's knitting olympics. i think it is crazy that we now officially have more participants than the ACTUAL OLYMPICS! good lord knitters, we are insane! :) i have been stressing over what to knit. something challenging... um... lately my knitting has consisted of me knitting to and from work while sitting on the bus.
