race against time
thanks for all the congrats! we like her a little bit. :) she's so cute!
since she's so little, the 0-3 month daisy sweater that i made her is a little too big. see...
so... i'm working on another one. with dalegarn baby ull, same color as outside skeins in this pic.
see, by using the dalegarn baby ull i can still use the daisy pattern in 0-3 month size. but it will come out evie sized! (approx 15" chest (she currently measures 13.5")). the only problem with this is that i don't have tons of time to knit anymore. and it is going slowly. can i finish it while she's still little enough to wear it??? tune in to see! :)

Oh! I love when they're in that "still curled in a ball" phase... adorable!
Congratulations on the new arrival; she's a cutie!
The yarn is purty too. : )
Congratulations to you and your hubby, she is absolutely beautiful!
What a little sweetie, she is just so cute.
She's darling! Oh! Feelin' some baby lust over here!
You can do it!! You'd be surprised at how much you can knit while nursing (once you get the hang of it) and if you get a sling, you'll have 2 hands free and still keep her close!
You should put her in that sweater just once before she actually grows into it. :)
Cori,
Congratulations! Awesome. She is beautiful.
The little wrap sweater is from the Mason Dixon Knitting book, and it took 250 yards of yarn and 4 days of on & off knitting.
As for smallness, it's very small but not *tiny*. The body is about 7" across the front, so 14" around the tummy. If this is too large, a very easy way to make a tiny size would be to use finer yarn (such as Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino) with smaller needles, but follow the same pattern.
However, the sleeves, IMO, are too long for babies and I'd adjust the pattern next time to make them shorter and pudgier.
I would recommend this one, definitely. You might want to knit on smaller yarn, but she will fit it very soon. You will be amazed some day when you look back at these teeny teeny clothes and remember how big they were on her. It won't make any sense when she's one.
