first sweater ever!

so i finished this bad boy just after labor day. i know, at least i'm sharing now.

mission falls cotton - in graphite and lilac

this sweater, i tried but... ugh. well. the body of this sweater is just too large. as in, i could be 6 months pregnant and no one would know. :( it seems to fit ok until it stretches out (100% cotton). and the sleeves, that i made long, are still not quite long enough. meh.

however considering it's my very first sweater ever, i guess it turned out well. i'm just bummed, i love this pattern. the sleeve area does fit well so i wonder if i just do some waist shaping if i made this again? and make the sleeve longer as well...

i am proud of the finishing skills that i gained in this sweater. and it looks nice. i even put in a zipper! (thank you zipperstop.com!)

i got my ravelry invite last thursday and wow. WOW! go join! be patient while waiting, poor casey and jess are working as hard and as fast as they can!

i AM knitting. made a hedgehog for evie that just needs to be felted, stuffed and given a face. look how cute it is already!



i also need to block evie's robin hood jacket (have i been ignoring it for so long?!?). i'm also working on another uptown tote, this one for a friend who wants one just like mine, same colors and all and since she helped us with the colors in our townhouse i'm making her a bag!

and lastly i'm working on my ribby cardi, though the cotton yarn is proving to slow me down. i'm torn between using the cascade 220 i have hanging out, and just sticking with the cotton. i can't wear wool well and i really want to wear this sweater so...
