knitting olympics - day 1

was at work (blah!) at 2pm so no knitting until on my way home. then went to dinner with my hubby, mom and sister (to celebrate the good U/S news). ate FAR too much and felt like crap all night. more about that in my day 2 & 3 update... it's quite a story. finally got home and started watching the opening ceremonies on tivo. finally knitting time!!!

cast on for a cute ribbed baby hat during the opening ceremonies. baby's first 'gu, color is p122, i love it. not sure how i'm making the hat, starting out with a 2x2 rib. i used larissa's handle pattern to get an idea of how many stitches to cast on. we'll see how this one turns out. :)
